Tim Denne
Tim is an economist with 25 years experience in economic analysis applied to transactions, pricing and public policy.
He has worked in energy, natural resource, industrial, transport and environment sectors. Recently his work has included price and demand forecasts, tariff design, the analysis and design of government energy, climate change, environment (including waste, air and water quality) and transport policy, and in the design of industry-led producer responsibility systems and other policy response strategies. He was a member of the team designing the NZ Emissions Trading System (ETS), was involved in the original design of the EU ETS and the design of a NOx trading system for the UK.

Assisted in the design of the emissions trading system (ETS) including membership of the Emissions Trading Group and advice to the Technical Advisory Groups on Stationary Energy, Industrial Processes, and on Agriculture. The work included overall system design, impacts on emissions-intensive firms and design and implementation of the allocation system.
